Royal Ascot is the centrepiece of Ascot’s year. The world’s most famous race meeting is held in June. Steeped in history dating back to 1711. The British royal family attend the meeting, arriving each day in a procession of horse-drawn carriages. Travelling from Windsor Castle through the Windsor Great Park, home of Guards Polo Club and the village of Cheapside. It is a major event in the British social calendar.
